Services

Number of children

We are 2 separate small child care centres that provide small group care for 0-3 year olds and 3-6 year olds.
The 0-3 centre caters for up to 16 children.
The 3-6 centre caters for up to 27 children.

Special shows and happenings

The children go on a variety of excursions including a recent trip to the local fire station and walks to a local park to go kite flying.
Musical presenters come at different times during the year to put on shows for the children including a recent multicultural drum show.
We have different special days during the year to fit in with our program themes inlcuding a sausage sizzle where the children have sausages for lunch, a pyjama party and Easter hat parades.

The centres provide sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses needs to be brought with each child to follow sun safety policies.

Parents provide all food and nappies the children need for the day.

Educational Programs

Each centre runs an educational child centred program that provides a variety of activities and experiences for the children. The programs are catered to each age group and include an individual objective for every child. Activities are planned to foster all developmental areas including art and crafts, maths, language and literacy, social skills, gross and fine motor, science and thinking skills. The children at the 0-3 centre are also provided with a variety of these activities, even the babies. The 3-6 centre runs a full preschool program all year round including school readiness. When children turn 3 and move up to the 3-6 centre it is a smooth transition due to the fact the staff are familiar, they have all done some hours at 0-3 centre and the routines at the two centres are very similar just with different times to do each thing.

We believe as Early Childhood Educators it is our responsibility to:

To make the children feel safe and secure
To encourage the children need to be confident and independent before they attend school by providing them with the tools to do things for themselves
To provide them with a variety of different types of experiences and activities that allow them to make choices and learn at their own pace.
To work as partners with parents to promote open communication and continuity of care.
